Bridging Power and Control on BluesSystem Lights to Troubleshoot
Answer
In the BluesSystem Installation Manual, the wire termination section for lights includes an optional run from power to control. This option essentially means running 2 wires from the power wago to the fixture, one landing on power and the other landing on control. This bridges power and control, meaning that the fixture will be on at full whenever the power supply has power.
This wire option is meant to be used for troubleshooting purposes only, not as a permanent installation option. The power supply always sends voltage to each zone down the power line, and control is meant to allow dimming. If control and power are bridged, the fixture will always be on as long as the power supply has power. Once proper power and output are confirmed, resume the traditional run of control to the control landing on the fixture.
