Metering Output from BluesSystem Power Supply
Question
What does each line from the output header on a BluesSystem power supply do and what should I see when metering?
Answer
There are three lines for each output header, which you can see on page 16 of the installation manual:
- Power: provides power to fixtures
- Ground: acts as common
- Control: provides dimmable control to fixtures
You should see the following when metering the output lines:
- Power/Ground: 24VDC on the One Zone Power Supply and 36VDC on the Six Zone Power Supply
- Control/Ground:
- 10VDC when at full via DMX
- 0 VDC when at 0 via DMX
