Shutter Barrels

There are two types of shutter barrels that can be fitted to Source Four-pattern fixtures. Any fixture can be ordered with or without a shutter barrel. When ordered with a shutter barrel, Source Four LED Series 3 fixtures will come with the XDLT shutter barrel (XDLTSBKIT, 7462A2012-K), while all other fixtures will come with the standard shutter barrel (EDLTSBKIT, 7060A2012-K). XDLT shutter barrels are compatible only with XDLT lens tubes, while standard shutter barrels are compatible with LT and EDLT lens tubes (but not XDLT). Any fixture can be fitted with either type of shutter barrel, but if using the type that does not come standard with the fixture, the shutter barrel must be ordered separately.

Older fixtures may have standard shutter barrels with different part numbers.  7460A2007 (used in Source Four LED Series 1, ColorSource Spot V) 7413A2005 (used in original ColorSource Spot) 7060A2037 (used in Source Four HID) These are all identical in compatibility to the current 7060A2012-K.

XDLT shutter barrels manufactured before January 2022 require a different retaining screw than normal to be fitted to non-Series 3 fixtures. This is no longer a concern with current-production XDLT shutter barrels. See this article for more information.

Zoom Lenses

Zoom lenses take the place of a shutter barrel and mount directly onto the light engine/reflector assembly. As such, no additional parts are needed to mount an XDLT zoom to a non-Series 3 fixture or mount an LT zoom to a Series 3 fixture. XDLT zooms cannot be used with incandescent fixtures due to heat tolerance.

Balance Yokes

Some customers prefer to use balance yokes with zoom lenses and larger lens tubes such as 5° and 10°. There are two different balance yokes available. The Series 3 balance yoke (S4LEDBY, 7462A2021-K) fits Source Four LED Series 3 fixtures, while the standard balance yoke (400BY, 7060A2028) fits all other fixtures. EDLT 50° Variants

There are two variants of the EDLT 50° lens tube. The original variant (450EDLT, 7060A2049) can be used with either incandescent or LED fixtures, but may cause vignetting on LED fixtures. The later variant (LED50LT, 7460A2008) is only compatible with LED fixtures, and does not vignette. This variant is sometimes referred to as the EDLT/LED 50°. See this article for more information.
