This article is about a specific historical issue regarding retaining screws for pre-2022 XDLT shutter barrels used with non-Series 3 fixtures. For general information, see Lens Tube Compatibility.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION ONLY: As of January 2022, XDLT barrels have had their castings revised to accept all existing Source Four LED fixture body hardware. The following information applies only to XDLT barrels shipped prior to January 2022.

Description
The XDLT shutter barrel can be fitted to a Source Four LED Series 1 or 2 fixture to allow use of XDLT lens tubes with these fixtures. Likewise, the standard shutter barrel can be fitted to a Source Four LED Series 3 fixture to allow standard and EDLT lens tubes to be used.
However, using an XDLT shutter barrel on a non-Series 3 fixture or vice versa may require a different retaining screw to ensure proper mating between the components. Refer to the table below to identify the proper retaining screw.
Conventional incandescent fixtures operate at much higher temperatures than LED fixtures. XDLT lens tubes are not designed to withstand these high temperatures, so they can only be used with LED fixtures.
