Clamp style DMX connector termination
Introduction
In 2023 ETC moved from the orange Weidmuller Connector to a blue clamp style DMX connector for DMX termination. The same connector can be use for stranded or solid core wire.
The blue CUI screw terminal connectors have since been approved for use with Cat5/5e/6/6a , and they now ship in DMX termination kits by default. Information on using those can be found here. The clamp-style connectors are still available for those who wish to use them, but they are no longer necessary. Phoenix (green) and Weidmuller (orange) screw-terminal connectors should still never be used to terminate Cat5/5e/6/6a.
