How To Adjust The Contrast On The Gateway

Symptoms/Issue

The LCD is hard to read or in some cases blank but otherwise the gateway works just fine

Description/Explanation of Issue

The LCD could be bad, but sometime the contrast is off. 

Fix/Solution

1. Open the gateway 
2. locate and adjust the potentiometer (usually next to the LCD connector) P1
3. Adjust it until characters are visible (the clicks indicates the reach of the limit)
