Why doesn't UpdaterAtor Setup Versions show all expected device types?

Issue

In UpdaterAtor the Setup Versions table is not showing a device type for a specific device I'm looking for.

Explanation of Issue & Solutions

  1. Make sure you're running the latest version of UpdaterAtor. Older versions of UpdaterAtor may not be able to display all devices types. You can download the latest version here.
  2. Make sure your device is capable of being updated using UpdaterAtor. Check the current version's Release Note for a list of what devices are supported and which update mechanisms are used.
  3. If you're using UpdaterAtor on a console, a device type may have been added outside of the release cycle for the UpdaterAtor software. The DCIDTable which populates the device types in Setup Versions is updated via internet connection, which an ETC console will NOT be connected to. In this case you will need a PC to perform the update instead.
  4. Make sure you are not running UpdaterAtor in beta mode. That mode uses a different DCIDTable to populate which devices are available and not everything will be found there. To verify which mode you're in click on the "About" button on the main screen. On the window that pops up if you see "Switch to Release Mode" above the OK button, then you are in beta mode. Click "Switch to Release Mode" to restart UpdaterAtor and you should see the proper devices.
