How to Upgrade a CEM Classic or CEM+ Sensor Touring Rack to CEM3

Explanation

It is possible to upgrade your Sensor Touring Rack from a CEM Classic or CEM+ processor up to a CEM3.
To gather the needed parts, follow the table below to acquire all the parts you need.

Table of Parts

  1. First, find out which type of rack you have:

  2. Next the kit will change depending on if you are upgrading from a CEM Classic or a CEM+

    Upgrading From: SP 4820 SP 9620 SP 9620 Double Small
    CEM Classic 7143K1001 7143K1002 7143K1003
    CEM+ 7143K1005 7143K1005 7143K1005

  3. If this rack has Advanced Features (AF), you will need new AF Cards
    Note the amount of cards needed for your rack size

  4. Next, you will need a CEM3 Processor, this is the same for all rack types

  5. Verify the existing door type of your rack and upgrade the parts according to the illustrations

  6. If you have a 9620 Double Small, verify the existing control input panel.
    If your control panel does not have an integral convenience outlet, you will be required to add this kit to your rack.
