Wiring Guidelines - QuickTouch Preset
The following guidelines should be used for laying out control wiring for a QuickTouch Preset Rigging Control System.
- A QuickTouch Preset Rigging Controller has a single Motor Control Output for a maximum of 12 hoists.
- The total combined length of each Hoist Control run cannot exceed 500 feet [150 meters]
- Multiple MCX Nodes can be used with a QuickTouch Preset Rigging Controller to control a total of 96 hoists.
- A maximum of 12 hoists can be connected per Hoist Control wiring run connected to an MCX Node.
- The total combined length of each Hoist Control run cannot exceed 500 feet [150 meters].
- A QuickTouch Preset Rigging Controller has one E-stop station/SafetyLink port.
- A maximum of 3 E-stop Button Stations are allowed per E-stop run.
- The total combined length of each E-stop (ES) wiring run cannot exceed 500 feet [150 meters].
- The total combined length of each SafetyLink (SL) wiring run cannot exceed 500 feet [150 meters].
- A Handheld Remote Plug-in Station (HHR-PS) can be connected to the E-stop/SafetyLink loop to add a QuickTouch Preset Handheld (QTP-HH) controller.
- The total combined length of each E-stop (ES) wiring run cannot exceed 500 feet [150 meters].
- The total combined length of each SafetyLink (SL) wiring run cannot exceed 500 feet [150 meters].
- A QuickTouch Preset has a single Remote port. This port can be used with the Fixed Speed Remote Control (FSRC), Remote Go Button (RGOB).
- The total combined length of the Remote Control (RC) wiring run cannot exceed 500 feet (150 meters).
-
All Hoist Control, E-stop, SafetyLink, and Remote Control wiring runs should be Belden 1583A, or any Cat5e or better cable.
