Cable Keeper Pad Replacement

Squeaky Cable Keeper Wheels

Early P75 hoists shipped with wheel cable keepers, over time these may start to squeak and generate unwanted noise.

Current P75 hoists ship with UHMW pad cable keepers.

Replacing Cable Keeper Wheels With Pads

The pads are a direct replacement for the wheels and mount using the same hardware.

The existing cable keeper arms can be disassembled and reassembled with the pads, or the entire arm assemblies can be replaced.

Replacement cable keeper arm assemblies come in a 'Left' and 'Right' version, from the perspective of the drum end of the hoist

  • When replacing the entire arm assemblies, one of each Left & Right assembly is required for each lift line.

If rebuilding existing arms, pads must be installed in the 'Left' or 'Right' orientation, and installed on the corresponding side of the drum

  • If rebuilding existing arms, 1 Cable Keeper Pad Kit is required for every 2 lift lines

If covers are installed on the hoists, some may need to be removed to access the drum. Several spare cover screws per hoist should be provided as they are easy to lose.

NOTE: Access to either the bottom, or both sides of hoists are required for cable keeper replacement
