Issue

How can I turn my external keyboard into a computer keyboard mapped to shortcuts on the console?

Solution

There are two ways an external keyboard can be used - alphanumeric or mapped to shortcuts. The current state of your external keyboard can be found in the Command Line Toolbar (see below):

Using the "Pause" or "Break" key on your external keyboard you may toggle between these two settings.
CTRL + Q on the keyboard will toggle between MAP and Abc
