Rename a fixture type
Explanation
The fixture type given by the manufacturer does not make sense.
This may lose fixture functionality like media previews or virtual intensities.
Steps to Solution
- Schedule the existing fixture
- Open the fixture builder
- Select Copy Type
- Tap on Limit to Fixtures in Use
- Select the fixture you want to rename and hit OK
- Change the Type name
- Hit build type
This does not rename the fixture in the fixture library. This creates a brand new fixture type with the name given. If you have existing programming, you will need to Change Type to the new fixture type
