Make a "Bump" Button on Hog 4
Creating a Bump Scene
- Select your fixtures and create the look you intend to bump
- Ex [1] [THRU] [9] [@] [FULL] Strobe = 5Hz
- Record to a scene
- Ex [RECORD] [SCENE] [1]
- Set fade time (Any time can be used based on user preference)
- Ex [SCENE] [1] [OPEN] [TIME] [0] [UPDATE]
- Set release time (Any time can be used based on user preference)
- Ex [SCENE] [1] [OPEN]
- Press (Options) Select the "Scene Tab"
- Click to touch the cell and set the time to 0
- Set flash key options
- Select the Standard tab
- Set the Flash key to "Go On Flash" and "Release On Off"
- Close the Scene Options Window
- Close the Scene Editor
- Move the scene to desired destination
Using the Bump Scene on a Master
- Follow steps 1-7 from Creating a Bump Scene
- Move the scene to a master
- Ex [SCENE] [1] [MOVE] [CHOOSE] (On empty master)
- Press and hold the flash key to bump, release the key to release
Using the Bump Scene on a Command Key
- Follow Steps 1-7 From Creating a Bump Scene
- Open the Function Keys Window (HedgeHog 4, Road Hog 4, and Hog 4 PC)
- Hold [OPEN] and press the (Function Keys) softkey (Note the ">>" softkey might need to be pressed for the next page on smaller consoles)
- Ensure your function keys are in CMD mode, which is displayed to the right of the command line
- If KIND is displayed, click KIND to switch to CMD mode
- If CMD is displayed, CMD is the current mode
- Move the scene to a CMD key
- Ex [SCENE] [1] [MOVE] [CMD Key] (On empty key)
- Change the CMD Key to Flash
- [OPEN] (Commands) directory
- Switch to list view
- Change the action for Scene 1 to "Flash" with the [SET] key
- Press and hold the CMD key to bump, Release the key to release
TIp: You can "Latch" the key to keep the scene active
- HOLD the flash or CMD key
- HOLD [PIG]
- Release the flash or CMD key
- Release the [PIG] key
- Press the flash or CMD key again to release
