Downloading and Installation Instructions for Status Cue® for Windows V3.27

Download all the disks from links at the end of this document. You may want to print this page as you will need these directions after downloading the files. The downloaded files are in self-extracting format, to produce the full install disks follow the instructions below: 

  • You will need several BLANK FORMATTED DISKS (the number depends on which type of download you select). If the disks are not blank, then the install cannot be created properly.
  • On the computer that is used for the download, be sure to note what directory you are downloading to.   It is suggested that at temporary folder be created for this purpose.

To create the install disks

  1. OPEN WINDOWS EXPLORER
  2. INSERT A BLANK DISK INTO THE DRIVE.
  3. SELECT THE FOLDER THAT YOU DOWNLOADED THE "DISK(X).EXE" FILES TO.
  4. DOUBLE CLICK ON THE FILE "DISK1.EXE".
  5. A WINZIP SELF-EXTRACTOR DIALOG BOX WILL POP UP AND MAKE SURE THAT IT SPECIFIES A:\ AS THE "UNZIP TO FOLDER:".
  6. CLICK ON THE "UNZIP" BUTTON.
  7. CLICK ON THE "CLOSE" BUTTON.
  8. PULL THE DISK OUT AND LABEL IT "DISK 1" ETC.
  9. FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE FOR ALL DISKS USING EACH FILE NAME (DISK2.EXE, DISK3.EXE, ETC). BE SURE TO LABEL EACH DISK

Status Cue Install

  1. After following the above instructions, you will have a full set of install floppy disks. 
  2. Now go to your Status Cue computer and start it up. 
  3. Close Status Cue and on
    • Windows 3.X
      FROM PROGRAM MANAGER, 
      CLICK ON FILE IN THE MENU BAR 
      CHOOSE RUN... 
      PUT DISK 1 INTO THE DRIVE 
      TYPE A:\SETUP.EXE AND 
      PRESS ENTER 
    • Windows 95
      FROM THE START BUTTON, 
      CHOOSE RUN... 
      PUT DISK 1 INTO THE DRIVE 
      TYPE A:\SETUP.EXE AND 
      PRESS ENTER
  4. The Status Cue install program will start. Now just click the NEXT button on the bottom of the install box to proceed through the install. You will be prompted to enter the disks as needed. 
Note-Icon.png If you receive an error during installation that Setup is missing a file or files, then check to make sure that you used BLANK disks when making the install disks.
