Front and Rear Base Cover Potential Issue
Symptoms/Issue
The front and rear base covers have the potential to have cracked or broken screw holes.
Fixtures with serial number 5509921070101 and above will have the new version bezel.
Description/Explanation of Issue
We have seen several instances of one or both of these covers arriving broken. When inspecting Lonestar check the front panel (display) and rear panel covers to ensure they are secure. It will be obvious if the failure occurred. The covers will be loose or you will notice a gap between the base and the cover like in the picture below.
The part number for the front and rear cover is: 2594A4004. As of Oct. 11, 2021, the vendor has reinforced this area and all fixtures will ship with the new version cover. New covers will be shipped as well from the vendor to replace faulty covers.
Customers who have seen this issue are also concerned that the bottom base plate is also damaged. This is not the case. It was discovered that the PSU mounting screws are a little long and make it appear that the base cover to be bent like in the picture below. This does not effect functionality and is not very obvious unless you look for it. Use an M3x6 to replace these screws: part number H7140039.
Fix/Solution
- Replace the broken cover. The part number is the same for both the front and rear cover: 2594A4004
