RAYN Definitions

Syrcadia Software:

This is the software that runs the RAYN System.  It runs on a RAYNTouch or on a PC with a dongle but you would want to use one or the other not both. You can use the PC for offline editing of RAYNTouch configuration and load them into the system. See Syrcadia Rayntouch manual for this procedure.

Dashboard:

This area displays the summery status display for each Defined zone controlled by RAY Touch. Each zone title includes the zone name, current sensors feedback for temperature, humidity, and CO2, as well as the current DLI value and controls for the AUTO DLI feature. If enabled, the External Control Toggle button is also found here.

Zone:

A Zone is an area of the growing space that has its own group of luminaries, dimmers and relays.  There must be at least one zone. Each Zone has its own Crop plans and Day plans as well.

Device:

This is a luminaries, Dimmer, or relay. There needs to be Unique number for all devices in your system.

Setting>Devices

This is where Devices are assigned to zones and patched to a DMX control channel.

DMX :

DMX-512 is the most commonly used data protocol for Lighting control. originally developed for theatrical lighting control. For a more technical overview of DMX see the Wikipedia article on DMX.

Each Device use 1 or more  DMX  Channels.  Let say you have Alina's, each one has 7 channels of control (other luminaries may have more or less) .  So you do not want Overlapping DMX which will be displayed in red when overlaps are detected.  In this example, You would want luminaries to be patches every 7 Channels in this example, so at 1, 8, 15 ... .

DMX is an international ANSI standard maintained by ESTA. It is not proprietary to any one manufacturer.  An enhancement to DMX512 called RDM is also available in some ETC products for remote configuration of devices.  RDM is how Syrcadia knows what devices are on line.

Manual:

An area to select devices in zones and manipulate spectral values and intensities. You can also save spectrums / overrides and play spectrums.

Fetch the ability to get spectrums from other zones from luminaries of the same type

Spectrum:

Spectra include spectral values and intensities for adjustable luminaries, intensity values for simple single channel dimmable luminaries and the on/off state of relays connected to RAYN Touch. (see Settings>Devices)

Scheduler:

Scheduler is where Spectra are activated on the based-on time of day withing a day plan. It can run Either Crop Plans or Day Plans

Day Plan:

A day plan defines what spectrum will be activated in a zone at what time withing a specific 24-hour period. Day plans may also be given an auto DLI target value to achieve.  Days Plans can be used in crop plans for full grow cycle or loaded directly into the scheduler.

Crop Plan:

A crop plan Defines as a repeating Schedule of day plans. Crop plans are loaded into the scheduler

Override:

Overrides include Spectral values and intensities for adjustment luminaries, intensity values for simple singe channel dimming luminaries and the on / off state of any relays connected to RAYN Touch. Once configured, a lighting state may be saved for future use.

Overrides may be triggers manually from the dashboard or from the over When activated, it will play back its recorded content and block timed activated from the Scheduler until the Resume button is pressed. There is a setting /preference were auto-Resume can release overrides and return the system to Manual/scheduled events.
