Sensor or Switch Portion of the Echoflex OWS Wall Switch Sensor Not Functioning

Issue/Question

The switch or sensor portion of my Echoflex OWS Wall Switch Sensor is not talking to my controllers.

Do the switch and sensor on the Echoflex OWS Wall Switch Sensor act as one unit?

Description/Explanation of Issue

The Echoflex OWS Wall Switch Sensor is technically two independent control units that are just housed in one convenient unit. The switch and sensor each have their own wireless radio and function independently of one another. Because of this, you must link both components to the desired controllers. Linking the sensor does not link the switch, and vice versa.

Fix/Solution

Link whichever component is not communicating to the controller.

To link the switch:

  • Enter LEARN mode on the controller.
  • Swiftly tap the 'on' (top) side of the switch 3 times.
  • Exit LEARN mode on the controller.

To link the sensor:

  • Remove the faceplate of the OWS unit, the orange antenna will be to the left of the sensor and the TEACH button will be to the right.
  • Enter LEARN mode on the controller.
  • Tap the TEACH button for the sensor.
  • Exit LEARN mode on the controller.

Note: When using the teach function in Garibaldi Pro. Only the sensors teach button needs to be pressed.
