Can EchoTouch Snapshot DMX for Echo Presets
Explanation
This depends on who the DMX source is, as the EchoTouch unit does not have a DMX IN header and is not capable of having an upstream DMX source talk to or through it. The EchoTouch only has a DMX OUT header for DMX communication.
If you patch DMX fixtures into the EchoTouch and set their levels via the EchoTouch, using the EchoTouch itself as the DMX source, you can record those levels into an Echo preset for playback.
If a second EchoTouch is connected to this EchoTouch via EchoConnect and assigned to the same Echo space, you can play back the preset at the second EchoTouch as well. This will NOT work if the EchoTouches are just connected via network, as they do not communicate over the network. To snapshot DMX levels from a source like a console into Echo presets on an EchoTouch unit, you will need an Echo DMX Scene Controller. See below for an example system layout:
