Echo Zone Controllers and GFCI Breakers
Question
Is it acceptable to feed Echo Zone Controllers with GFCI breakers?
Answer
Yes, it is acceptable to use a GFCI breaker to feed these Echo Zone Controller products, except the 600w Phase adaptive Dimmer and the 600w Forward Phase Dimmer.
Due to the nature of dimmers and how they affect the sine wave of AC power, no GFCI will provide protection on a dimmable circuit.
NOTE: The GFCI breaker would be in the branch feed panel not provided by ETC, therefore the breaker itself is not provided by ETC.
