Replacing the Fuse in a Paradigm Architectural Control Processor (P-ACP)

Issue

A Paradigm Architectural Control Processor (P-ACP) will not power on, and a problem with the dimming engine or ERn rack power supply has been ruled out.

Explanation of Issue

The P-ACP's fuse may be bad. P-ACPs with a part  numbers of 7180A1009 and 7180A1029 have a spare fuse, whereas the older 7180A1001 has no spare fuse. The part number can be found on the rear of the unit on the same label as the serial number.

Solution

  1. Turn off power to the ERn or DRd rack.
  2. Open the rack door and remove P-ACP.
  3. Remove the screws from the top edge of the rear of the P-ACP to remove the top lid, exposing the PCB.
  4. Spare fuse is located at the F2 position.
