What Does the Red Fault + or - LED Indicator Light on a PSPM Mean?

Symptoms/Issue

I am seeing a red light on Fault +/- on my Paradigm Station Power Module. What error does this indicate?

Description

The fault indicators illuminate when an imbalance in LinkPower has been detected. Most commonly, this means the station wiring has a fault. A connected device on the LONbus can also cause a fault indicator light if it is experiencing issues.

  • If the NET A line has a fault (is shorted or has leakage to ground), the Fault + LED lights
  • If the NET B line has a fault (is shorted or has leakage to ground), the Fault - LED lights
  • If neither fault LED is illuminated the data connections are properly installed and the stations are receiving the data and power required for operation

The fault indicator lights will automatically turn off when the condition is cleared. No power cycle necessary.
