Setting up a Loaner P-LCD

Thank you for taking advantage of ETC's loaner program.

Once you've followed the instructions below, pack up your unit in the box the loaner came in. Please send only the items on the repair order; unless instructed otherwise, do not send in any accessories, cables, or peripherals. If you do not have the appropriate packing material, contact ETC Technical Services.

Please ship to:

ETC, Inc
ATTN: RMA# <your RMA number>
3031 N Pleasant View Rd
Middleton, WI 53562

If you run into any issues while following the process outlined below, contact ETC Technical Services.

Removing the Broken Screen

  1. Grab the screen with your fingers on top and thumbs on bottom.
  2. Pull the bottom out, then lift up and towards you; the screen should come off with little to no resistance.
  3. Your touchscreen will have either 1 or 2 cables plugged into the back; remove them by pressing down on the small plastic tab and pulling straight out.

Putting in the Loaner Screen

  1. Put the cables into the same locations on the loaner touchscreen. If you have 2 cables, they will be different sizes — the larger one goes in the PoE net Connect port and the smaller one goes in the Lon LinkConnect port. If you only have one cable, it will go in the Lon LinkConnect port.
  2. Place the top of the loaner screen into the back box, making sure to slot the hooks on the back of the screen onto the pins on the left and right inside the box.
  3. Gently press the bottom of the screen into the back box. Once again, you should not encounter significant resistance while doing so.

Binding the Loaner Screen

Head to your paradigm processor and follow the directions in this article on how to bind a Paradigm station at the Paradigm Processor; after this, the loaner touchscreen should be fully operational.

After the Repair

Repeat the steps above to put your touchscreen back in its place, then send the loaner back to the same address you sent your unit to.
