Eos and Ableton Live
Question:
How do I synchronize a show with only Ableton Live and an Eos console or ETCNomad?
Answer:
There are a couple of ways to achieve this. If you have a USB MIDI interface on the Ableton PC and Eos side, you can use MIDI Raw messages to control Eos. If you do not, owners of Ableton Live 9 or higher can download the free Connection Kit pack to transmit OSC messages between Eos and Live. Neither Eos nor Live can transmit either SMPTE or MIDI timecode, they can only recieve it, so if you do not have another program or piece of hardware transmitting timecode, you will need to use one of the other solutions.
