Express Console Not Outputting DMX

Symptoms/Issue

I'm not getting any DMX output from my Express console ports.

Description/Explanation of Issue

DMX transceiver chips may have failed. This is often due to an overvoltage event, which can be triggered by a power outage or storm.

Fix/Solution

The Express has 2 socketed DMX chips (ETC PN Z1458-F replaces Z216-F) located on the I/O card in the brick. Position U1 is for DMX port 2 and position U2 if for DMX port 1. These chips will need to be replaced.

DMX chips can be ordered directly from ETC via our online shop, or from any ETC dealer or lighting supplier.
