Explanation

Many DMX recipients have data loss functions, whether programmable or not. With ETC products, you will most likely run into one of the following situations

Data loss behavior is set to hold last look or wait and fade
- Ex: Sensor3 racks have a data loss behavior setup section. If the ports are set to HLL, they will hold the last look sent via DMX until DMX is restored

Preset is playing in the background and reactivate upon data loss
- Ex: Selador Desire fixtures can have presets activated with or without DMX present. If they are running a preset, then DMX is applied and taken away, they will resume that preset until DMX is applied again or the preset is deactivated
