Discovered Devices are not configurable in Concert

Issue

I am unable to configure newer ETC devices connected to Concert and it will not automatically add those devices to the network map. However, they show up in discovered devices.

If moving the device to the Network Map, it may not synchronize or have all features available to configure.

Explanation of Issue

When a new ETC networking product releases, a device package is available to download from the ETC FTP site in order for Concert to know all the device's features. This requires an internet connection to download.

When  ETC releases a new version of Concert, that installer will contain the latest device packages at the time of release. Occasionally new products (or new versions for existing products) are released between versions of Concert, and it require updating the device packages to work with the device, as outlined in How to update Concert device packages using Component Manager for PC or Mac.

For Concert installed on Eos consoles

Eos desks should not be connected directly to a network with internet access, nor does ETC recommend doing so. Thus, the Initiate Download button in Component Manager will not function. The recommended practice is to update Concert to the latest version.

If the latest version does not currently contain the device packages of your newer ETC devices, a separate computer with Concert and the updated device packages would be needed for configuration.

NOTE: In a pinch, there may be a newer build version of Concert in open beta. Please refer to the ETC forums for Beta Access.
