Response 512 Out (AKA Moby DAC)
The Response 512 was a digital to analog converter (DAC) that converted up to 512 channels of DMX512 to Analog 0-10V control. This is ideal for large retrofits. Due to its impressive size it was colloquially known as the "Moby DAC".
- It has a 19-inch EIA rack mount.
- Optional high voltages available.
- Up to 28V

NOTES
- Address=Dim# -1
- Trims are interactive
- 1 mA to 10 mA /output, 12 vdc to 28 vdc max.
- No self test options
- There were two different designs of the controller board. The older design did not have a DMX chip and instead had an opto-isolator (U35) and decoded via multiple discrete components. The new design added a DMX chip at U35. There is no easy way to determine design, but most DMX-512 units are likely of the newer design. The DMX chip is not easily user-serviceable, but it can be done
