All CEMs on an ETCLink network contain the full system's configuration.  Each CEM controls only its own rack, defined by its ETCLink (Rack) address.

Description of Issue

A "Configuration Mismatch" error indicates that one or more CEMs do not contain the same system configuration as the other CEMs.  This typically occurs when a loaner or spare CEM is added to the system.  This can also occur after a rack transfer within a multirack system to a single CEM.

Fix

In this situation, the correct configuration from a known-good CEM can be downloaded into the CEM with the wrong configuration.  Note that multiple CEMs may show the error, which merely means that one CEM on the network differs from the others.

Note-Icon.png To help determine which CEM has the wrong configuration, find the CEM which will not allow its ETCLink address to be changed to the highest number rack (e.g. 4-Rack system, one CEM will only allow an ETCLink address of 1 or 2--this is the problem CEM). If all CEM's will allow the highest-rack ETCLink address to be set, you must use other methods to find the rogue CEM, such as looking at Rack types, dimmer types, etc.

To download the configuration, go to the Setup-->Rack menu on the CEM with the incorrect configuration

  • In CEM 2.x:
    • Go to Setup -> Rack -> Load Config From *.
      • Enter the source rack number.
    • Press [Enter].
    • Enter the destination rack number next to "ETCLink Address."
    • Press [Enter].

  • In CEM 3.x:
    • Go to Setup -> Rack -> Load Config From Addr:*
      • Enter the destination rack number.
    • Press [Enter].
    • Next to "Load Config From:*", enter the source rack number.
    • Press [Enter].

You may need to hit reset on all CEMs which show the "Config Mismatch" error before the error will clear.
