Trims - Creating and Using Trims on Foundation

High/Low Trims

High and Low trims are motor-specific positions that are set in the software on a channel basis. Each channel has the ability to store a High Trim and a Low Trim in addition to other trim positions.

High and Low Trims can be set to act as limits to travel.

Only power users are allowed to set trims.

  • To set High or Low trim as a limit:Press the field to the left of the desired trim (High or Low). The "Edit Trim" dialog will open with a numeric keypad.
  • Enter the desired trim position using the keypad, or press "Current" to use the current position of the desired motor. If you enter the position incorrectly, press the "X" at the right end of the readout to clear the field again.
  • If you would like the chosen trim to act as a limit for that motor, check the "Use As Limit" box.
  • If you want to delete the existing trim position press the "Delete" button in the dialog.
  • When you are done editing, press the "Ok" button. The new trim position will appear in the respective field.
Trims Tab

In the manual movement screen the Trims tab is where you can view and edit up to six additional channel trim positions as well as the global trim positions for the entire system.

To add or edit any trim position:

  1. Press the field to the left of the desired trim. The "Edit Trim" dialog will open with a numeric keypad.

  2. Enter the desired trim position using the keypad, or press "Current" to use the current position of the desired channel. If you enter the position incorrectly, press the "X" at the right end of the readout to clear the field again.
  3. If you want to delete an existing trim, press the "Delete" button in the dialog.
  4. When you are done editing, press the "Ok" button. The new trim position will appear in the respective field.
