System Layout - Prodigy Balance
Prodigy Balance System Layout Guidelines
- Prodigy Balance Power Supply
- The Balance Power Supply has 4 outputs.
- Each Balance Power Supply output can connect a maximum of 6 Prodigy Balance line sets.
- Each Balance Power Supply can power up to a maximum 12 Prodigy Balance line sets.
- Additional power supplies are required for each additional group of 12 line sets.
- The total combined length of each Balance Control wiring branch cannot exceed 40 feet [12m], including total patch cable length.
- Control Systems
- Prodigy Balance is compatible with Foundation HD, Foundation Desk, and QuickTouch Preset rigging control systems.
- If installed directly after a QuickTouch Preset controller, the Prodigy Balance Power Supply replaces the Rigging System Power Injector (RSPI) in the system.
- If there is Power and Control Distro and/or an MCX Node between the Prodigy Balance Power Supply and the QuickTouch Preset controller, a separate RSPI is required to power the QuickTouch Preset controller.
- Hoist Control Wiring (C*)
- The four outputs of the Balance Power Supply are controlled from a single MCX Input. Dependent on system needs and/or layout the outputs can be split between two separate MCX Inputs via a jumper setting.
- The Balance Power Supply MCX Thru that can be connected to additional Balance Power Supplies for additional line sets or can be run to Power & Control Distro for other ETC hoists.
- The total number of devices that can be connected to a single hoist control run is dependent on the Rigging Controller.
