What Is The Difference Between HogNet and FixtureNet?
Description
You will find two dedicated Ethernet jacks on the back of your console labeled HogNet and FixtureNet. Using cat 5 Ethernet cable or better, the two ports are used for different types of communication in a Hog 4 system.
On some HedgeHog 4 and Road Hog 4 consoles the Ethernet jacks may not be labeled. As shown below, the HogNet port is on the RIGHT when viewing the console from the rear.
HogNet
This port may be used for: Multi-consoles Hog systems, DMX Processor 8000s, and Open Sound Control.
FixtureNet
This port may be used for: sACN output, Art-Net output, and connecting visualizers.
