High End Fixture stop listening to sACN on network
Issue
High End Fixture stop receiving sACN when directly controlled on the network. Repluggin the network cable or resetting power on the first fixture in line restores sACN for a period of time but then stop working again.
Explanation of Issue
Older fixtures do not respond to IGMPv3 requests from the network switches, so the switch eventually stops forwarding sACN traffic to the port the fixture is plugged into, until the fixture re-announces itself after re-plugging the Ethernet cable or power cycling. Upon doing so it announces to the switch what multicast group it wants to listen to and the switch initially forwards the corresponding sACN, but on the next query cycle it will fail again.
Solution
Change the switch to IGMPv2. The process for doing so varies according to switch manufacturer and model.
