Pharos Express Software Interface

Overview 

The Pharos Express Software contains (4) distinct areas the Canvas, Browser, Property Editor, and Tools Menu.

Canvas

The Canvas is the center point of your project, all fixtures, spaces, timelines, scenes, and spaces are placed in this area. 
Item selected on the Canvas, Browser, or Patch screens are highlighted in blue. 
Scene and Timelines will highlight in green while being edited and will highlight in blue when selected outside of the editing process. 

Browser

The Browser  will dynamically change based on the selected item. 

When fixture is selected from the Canvas, the Browser will show information about the selected fixture(s)
A color flag corresponding to the color of the space in which the fixture is located will appear to the left of the fixture name.

When the Canvas space is selected, all groups and spaces and subspaces within the project will be displayed. 
Solid color flags indicates a space, while a hashed color tag indicates a group

A scene of any type will display a color flag corresponding to the space in which the scene is located.

The Browser Bar

The navigation bar located directly above the browser allows a user to change the displayed content of browser.

Scenes: Click this allows a user to view all project scenes.
Right click a scene to edit
Double click a scene to preview it. 

Media Browser Bar.png
Media: Project media can renamed, deleted, or viewed from this tab. 

Fxitures Browser.png
Fixtures: Manage all project fixtures from this tab. Multiple fixtures can be selected by control click or shift click. 
Additional fixture properties can be edited by right clicking the selected fixture. 
Fixtures can also be dragged from this view to the patch table.

Express Spaces.png
Spaces: Project spaces can be managed from this area, right click a space to enable space edits allow you to change a spaces shape.

Network: All project devices including controller, RIOs, and touchscreens are managed here.
Right click a device to manage that particular devices properties or identify it. 

Property Editor

The property editor will dynamically change based on the selected content, properties of the selected device can then be modified. 

For example, when a fixture is selected fixture specific properties can be modified within the property editor.
If the selected fixture is part of a group or a specific space, this information will also be displayed in the property editor.

Tools Menu 

The tools menu contains multiple tabs; Home, Patch, Control, Network

Home: The home tab give access to Express resources including tutorials, online help, and online support.

Patch: The patch tab allows users to patch fixtures from the canvas to particular protocol. Protocol universes can be created, modified, and removed from this tab.

Control: The control tab allows for the creation and management of project control points:

  • Configure Tags - allows for the creation and management tags.
  • Schedule - allows for creation and management of scheduled events.
  • Interactions - 3rd party interactions are created and managed from this point.
  • Tag Scenes - allows users to tag of any variety.
  • Set Location - a projects location is set from the point.

Simulation Tools

Located to left of the Tools menu, the Simulation Tools allow a user to preview time event based content.

Play pause and.png
These tools allow users to play, pause and stop the simulation of timed event based content.

Live Output.png 
Live output from the Express software can be configured by clicking this button. An online controller is required for the feature to function.

Date time.png 
A specific time and date can be simulated by clicking the date and time area.
The simulated rate can be increased or decreased by clicking the arrows to right of the rate column. Rates can be modified from 1X  to 3,600X.
The simulated rate can be reset by clicking the reset button to the right of the rate control buttons.
