How EchoTouch Echo Expansion Bridge and Echo BACnet Interface Prioritize Power Supply Between 24vDC and PoE

Situation/Question

EchoTouch, Echo Expansion Bridge, and Echo BACnet Interface are connected to network via PoE Ethernet connection, and also connected to a 24vDC power supply. Will these two power sources harm the EchoTouch/EEB/EBI?

Answer

EchoTouch, Echo Expansion Bridge, and Echo BACnet Interfaces can safely receive both PoE from a network switch or PoE injector and 24vDC Aux from an Echo Power Supply. If both power sources are connected to the unit, it will prioritize external 24v over PoE. If that primary source goes away, the unit will reboot and allow the secondary source to take over.
