Replacing eMotion Display Driver on Eos Apex Consoles

• Power off the console and switch off the hard power switch

• Remove the following screws and center plate

• Remove yellow and black power cable
• Remove Display Port connection
• Remove video connection on the right by pinching the black heads
• Remove backlight connection in the top right of the board
  • Do not pull on the wires, only on the white plastic header

• Remove 5 screws 
  • It may be easier to access the bottom screws by flipping the monitor and approaching from the other side of the console

If black card  mounted behind the PCB falls out, the smooth side faces toward the monitor

• Attach new card with 5 screws

Ensure that the new card you are installing matches the part number of the original card as shown here:   The left and right display driver cards have different part numbers, which vary by console. If you do not have a card with a matching part number for each display, contact Technical Services.

• Replace cables in reverse order:
  • Connect backlight cable in the top right of the board
  • This header must be plugged into the top receiver
• Connect video connection on the right
• Connect DisplayPort cable
  • Must be plugged into the lower DisplayPort connector as shown
• Connect Yellow and Black Power

• Reattach center back plate

• Switch on the power switch and boot the console into Eos software

• To test functionality, hold down [DISPLAYS] and roll the level wheel
  • Make sure that the screen brightness changes with that level adjustment
