Smartfade Patch is Incorrect in Two-Scene Mode

Explanation

By default, Smartfade uses a 1:1 patch in Two-Scene mode. This means that each channel will only output its respective DMX address. You can define a custom patch, but it must be set in Normal or Full Control mode.

Steps to Solution

  1. Boot your Smartfade into Normal or Full Control mode by holding down the power button as the console powers on, then use the wheel to select the mode, and press the checkmark / Menu button.
  2. Press the checkmark / Menu button and select Patch, then set up your patch as desired.
  3. Shut down the board by pressing the Power button, then confirming the shutdown.
  4. Reboot the console into Two Scene mode by holding down the power button as the console powers up, then use the wheel to select the mode, and press the checkmark / Menu button.
  5. Press the checkmark / Menu button and select Patch, then choose "Custom."
  6. Verify that the channels are being controlled correctly.
