Restore Defaults on Paradigm Central Control Server (P-CCS)
Question
How do I restore defaults (deep clear) on a Paradigm Central Control Server (P-CCS)?
Answer
There is no restore defaults or deep clear function on the P-CCS. Loading a fresh blank config to the P-CCS is the best and easiest way to clear out previous config data from the hardware.
Depending on the issue that needs to be resolved, ETC Technical Support may ask you to do one of a couple related things:
- Perform a No Load on the P-CCS - this forces the P-CCS to boot without loading the configuration. Typically this is only used if the P-CCS is having problems booting as a result of an issue with the existing config.
- Reimage the P-CCS - this erases and images the entire HDD/SSD to a state as if it were fresh from the factory. Typically this is only used if a problem with the HDD/SSD is suspected, or if the P-CCS cannot be recovered through a No Load.
