Restore Defaults on Paradigm Architectural Control Processor (P-ACP)

Question

How do I restore defaults (deep clear) on a Paradigm Architectural Control Processor (P-ACP)?

Answer

Navigate to Main Menu > File Operations > Restore Defaults, as outlined in the Paradigm Architectural Control Processor Configuration Manual downloadable on the product's documentation page. This function erases all processor settings (architectural and dimming when hosted in a DRd rack) and returns them to factory default. Generally speaking, Restore Defaults is not used as a standard troubleshooting step when problems arise, but is helpful for the factory or ETC Dealers to get in a default state when setting up loaner equipment. Users should only Restore Defaults on their P-ACP if instructed by ETC Technical Support.

Restore Defaults should only be performed if there is a current configuration backed up to be loaded via USB/SD, loaded via its web UI (available in v5.0.1 and higher), or if it can be loaded via the network from another processor in a multi-processor and/or Server system. Restoring Defaults without a backup option will result in a non-functional system.

Depending on the issue that needs to be resolved, ETC Technical Support may ask you to perform a No Load (Abort Boot), which forces the P-ACP to boot without loading the configuration. Typically this is only used if the P-ACP is having problems booting as a result of an issue with the existing config.
